The Parallel View began in New Orleans in 2005; a few months before hurricane Katrina made landfall. After over coming many post hurricane concerns, we will soon be publishing books for authors, using print on demand. We publish books in a variety of genres. In the future we plan to publish books for authors at an affordable price. The point of truth concerning self publishing companies is what led Parallel View Publishing to try to help potiential authors place their titles at a more competitive advantage by offering free services that other self publishing companies charge. We will announce in the near future when we will actually begin accepting manuscripts for publication. Most authors believe that traditional publishing is the way to go. The truth is, they do have great distribution. The problems associated with publishing with a traditional publisher is two-fold. 1. Once your book stop selling they will render it "out of print." 2. The normal royalty associated with being traditionally published is between 8 and 15% We believe that a self publishing company should be in partnership with it's authors; so we will pay our authors a royalty of 5o% of net sales. We will also market our author's books because we believe that since we also have a stake in the success of each book produced, that we should take an active role in the book's success.
